It's grey and dark outside, and it's been threatening to rain since about 12:.30pm. I think I just saw a raindrop.
Earlier this week I had two promotional contest on facebook, offering a free, autographed copy of 'Til It Happens To You to the 10th, 15th, and 21st new nembers to my website. A big congratulations goes out to new members D'Gerard Turner and Reginald Cochran. I will be running another contest soon. I will make sure this is posted on the website as well as on facebook. So, please tell your friends and family members to join when you see the post.
As I have mentioned in previous posts, I have been busy writing the third novel Candle in the Wind. Well, last night I decided to write on location. As a result, I spent 2 hours at 901 Restaurant on the corner of 9th and I streets in NW DC, eating salmon and spinach mash potato, drinking wine, and writing. My waiter even gave me a tour of the restaurant afterwards (I had to shut down the computer because i had forgot to charge up, and the battery was on empty). If you are ever in the DC area, be sure to check out 901. The restaurant opened a few months ago.
I also went to The Melrose Hotel on Pennsylvania ave to do another on-location writing. I mostly took pictures and bothered the concierge with my questions (he wasn't really bothered). I wanted to go beyond using the internet to do research, and actually use my visits to these two establishments to give accurate descriptions of everything I saw. You will have to read Candle in the Wind when it is released in 2012 so see what happens.
I wish you all a blessed evening. Writers keep writing. Readers keep promoting. Thank you all for your support.
